Kerstin y Carlos Wedding

I recently had the pleasurable opportunity to document Kerstin and Carlos’s wedding day. It was a very special day for them as it was also the brides Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary.

Kerstin wore a delicate yellow vintage dress, with white lace trim, that was also her Grandmothers wedding dress. She also wore white heels. The groom wore a black Dolce and Gabbana tux with a matching yellow shirt and tie.

The intimate ceremony was held in downtown Austin, TX with the reception being held at his sisters house.

It was a very nice day and I enjoyed being with them on their special day and capturing pictures that they may

treasure for a lifetime.

Denny Mfg softbox and ez stand

I have the tri coast off camera flash box  from Denny Mfg and it is awesome. Very well built and sturdy with no problems. Their ez stand is great. I think I will order more of these. The Denny EZ stand legs collapse when lifted and come back out when you set the stand back down. If you move lights around often these work great. Highly recommend both of these.

Imaging 2011 San Antonio

Just got back from the Imaging 2011 convention in San Antonio. Had a great time and came back with lots of new ideas. Seen some new backdrop suppliers that I liked. The flooring from Denny Manufacturing is awesome and I must order some as soon as I can.

Backdrop Outlet not recommended

I have purchased a lot of things from Backdrop Outlet in California but I think its time to find a different supplier. It seems like every time I order something from them it goes onto back order.  I can understand if a backdrop is on back  order, they paint them as people order them, but different items take a long time. A couple recent examples are the flower petals were on back order for a month. Now I have waited 2 months for the posing table and they tell me they are working with their supplier. Backdrop Outlet use to be a good company I would recommend but now they have issues with keeping their inventory stocked. Maybe I will try them again in a year to see if they have returned to being an excellent company, I sure hope they do.

As an update, I finally canceled my order and they were nice about it. Now I am waiting for the money to be returned. After a week of waiting for the money  they told me they took care of it and I should have the money. So I checked with the bank and sure enough no money, so maybe its the check is in the mail story.

I hope Backdrop Outlet gets back to being a good company.

Square Up Cedit Card Reader

Just received my square credit card reader this week.

It was a fast set up and install on my T Mobile G2. Can be used on iphone or Android phones.

I like that you can put a picture of what they bought

on the receipt and the location.For the receipt it can be text to their phone or emailed to them.

Reflector

I couldn’t find the gold and silver cover for my reflector, so when I had a photo shoot at the beach I made one.

I went to Wal Mart and got the Elmer’s foam board and a roll of aluminum foal. For $5 this worked out pretty good and lightweight also.

Just received my new background light.

Its the new JTL light with 55w bulb with the 7 inch reflector.

Happy Thanksgiving
